I'm Komei β a UCSB statistics grad turned indie builder. I make small, opinionated apps that lean on AI to do something the platform itself can't quite do yet.
Most days I'm in Xcode or VS Code, shipping iOS apps in Swift/SwiftUI and full-stack web in Next.js + TypeScript. I like deeply native iOS interactions, fast SaaS, and the gap between them β Chrome extensions, menu-bar agents, mobile-first social experiments.
Before going independent I was CMO of a Bay Area social app (got us to 1k weekly actives), trained data specialists at Tesla, and ran a real-estate portfolio in Sacramento. The non-eng detours showed me what shipping actually means: knowing the user, picking your fights, and getting the thing into hands.
I make small things on purpose. The constraint is the feature.
